This link will give the degree pathways (CAA Baccalaureate Degree Plans) for NC community college students graduating with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science (A.S.). You will need to scroll down to view the grid displaying the 16 UNC universities. After you click on a school, you should see a list of majors. Pick your desired major and a document should open showing courses you should take at PCC for that particular major.Â
The University of North Carolina minimum admission requirements address three areas: high school courses, high school GPA, and test scores. The minimum requirements for admission are established by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina. However, admission is a competitive process and individual campuses may have additional requirements beyond the minimums listed in this publication. Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission to any specific university or program. Please check with each campus for additional information related to their specific admission requirements.
This link will direct you to the UNC System website where you will find information about degree programs, financial aid opportunities and other important information that will enable a successful transfer to one of the 16 four-year universities within the UNC system.
Check to see which UNC System Colleges have your degree program.
Use this link to see how each UNC campus determines how courses completed at other institutions will transfer to a particular campus. Please consult the transfer advisor at your intended university for a complete evaluation of your courses. Note: If you intend on graduating with an A.A. or A.S. degree from Pamlico, you need to follow the CAA Baccalaureate Degree Plan of your intended university and major.
There are several ways to explore how courses transfer across the North Carolina Community Colleges and UNC System institutions. The “Search by Course” and “Compare Schools” tabs provide an explanation of the search tool. The search by Common Numbering System (CNS) checkbox is only available on the “Search by Course” tab.
“Search by Course” allows you to view how courses taken at your institution will be accepted across the UNC System. You can browse all courses or enter an area of study and/or specific course number/name. Click drop-down arrows to show how a course may transfer.
The Transfer Course List contains a list of courses accepted for transfer between the NC Community College System and the University of North Carolina. For current information on course offerings, please contact the individual community college. Â
Click on this link to see the section of the NCCCS website that contains the Transfer Course List. You will find the latest version as a PDF document located at the bottom of the page.
