RISE English/Math Placement Tests
Placement Tests
New PCC students that do not qualify to forgo English and math placement requirements under new RISE regulations must take the RISE math & English placements tests in order to be enrolled in their program-required math & English courses. If the student has taken university-level math & English courses elsewhere, they must have official transcripts sent to PCC for evaluation. After this evaluation, if the student is given credit for their math and English program-required requirements, they do not need to take the placement tests.
In order to take the math & English placement test, a student must make an appointment with a member of the PCC Library staff to schedule a time to take the tests needed for course placement.

Multiple Measures
This document explains how to look up multiple measures in the Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague system. If the student shows a “Yes”, they have met Multiple Measures requirements. No math or English placement test is required. They can be enrolled in any math or English courses based on program requirements.
