ECU Partnership Teach is an East Carolina University College of Education degree completion partnership with North Carolina community colleges. Students graduate with a four-year degree in elementary education, middle grades education, or special education from East Carolina University by completing the first two years of the program at any one of our partnering community colleges followed by taking ECU courses online. This degree completion partnership is designed specifically for students that transition from a North Carolina community college.

The Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) tests are required for application to ECU’s Partnership Teach model and later the Upper Division phase of the Teacher education programs at ECU. The 3 tests measure basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Students may take Praxis tests at computer testing centers around the state. Students should contact Educational Testing Service (ETS) at www.ets.org/praxis to schedule and pay for required tests. Allow 4-6 weeks to receive scores.
