This course provides a practical introduction to dental billing and coding with an emphasis on accurate use of the Current Dental Terminology (CDT) code set. Students learn to apply dental codes through real-world case scenarios using the CDT code book, strengthening their ability to select, document, and submit appropriate procedures. The course also reviews foundational concepts related to dental insurance, including plan types, benefits, claim submission, reimbursement, and common billing challenges. By the end of the course, students will be prepared to navigate dental coding and billing processes with accuracy, compliance, and confidence.
